Summary of ad hoc communication

Given the recent amendments to the supervisory reporting framework for credit institutions (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/3117), the ECB’s Governing Council on 6 June 2025 decided to postpone on a one off basis the reporting requirements of counterparties for the first quarter of 2025 as spelled out in Article 158 (3) of Guideline (EU) 2015/510 of the European Central Bank (General Documentation Guideline) with the transitional periods of the new supervisory reporting regime. More specifically, the Governing Council decided to set the date for an automatic suspension on the grounds of prudence mentioned in that Article to 7 October 2025.
